AMS Shanghai Ltd London was
established in 2005 by Gavin Kaye,
Trevor Owen-Thomas and Linda Zhang and
is the financial headquarters of AMS
Shanghai Ltd which provides all the
normal services of a Marine Consultancy
Company including all marine financial
services.
Gavin Kaye is a qualified Chartered Accountant based in London. Gavin qualified in 1987 at BDO Stoy Hayward before leaving the firm in 1990 to join a publicly-quoted textile company, Worthington Group plc as Group Finance Director. At Worthington, Gavin headed up an aggressive acquisition strategy increasing the size of the Group significantly and expanding the product base across both manufacturing and distribution operations. Following a decline in the UK textile sector in the late 1990¡¯s, Gavin assisted the Board in a disposal and fund-raising programme to ensure that all the group¡¯s operations did not need to close.

In 2000, following
the successful
de-gearing of the
company, Gavin left to
join an internet-based
venture in the
healthcare sector as
Finance Director and
Chief Operating Officer.
The company floated on
the Alternative
Investment Market (AIM)
in London before being
sold in 2002. In 2003,
Gavin was invited to
join an AIM-listed
out-sourcing company,
Supporta plc as Chief
Executive ¨C where he
undertook a turn-around
and re-focusing of the
business over a 15-month
period, leaving the
company as a leading
provider in its sector.
In January 2005, Gavin
joined FMCB Corporate
Finance, a London-based
corporate finance
boutique, as a partner ¨C
and specialized in
providing corporate
finance advice,
fund-raising expertise
and finance director
services to growing
small-medium-sized
companies in the service
sector. In March 2005,
Gavin set up the
London-operation of AMS
Shanghai with Trevor
Owen-Thomas and Linda
Zhang.
Gavin is now able to
provide assistance for
companies and
individuals seeking to
raise either debt or
equity finance in the
marine and other
sectors, through his
connections in the
London market. |
