New Ship Building, Conversions & Repair

AMS Shanghai Ltd can provide experienced personnel for new shipbuilding or repair projects, covering dry-docking superintendence, Project management and technical support services.
Project Management:
This is to include the provision of a full team of skilled persons for building new ships, conversions and large scale repairs.
We have qualified personnel to cover each discipline and thus can provide a full Team for the project, Site Team/ Project Managers, Hull, Machinery, Electrical, Coating Inspectors of either foreign or Chinese nationals.

We can provide
u Assistance and advice on the choice of new build and/or repair yard.
u Careful perusal and review of the specification, providing advice of any recommended changes.
u Provide experienced Project Managers backed by a mix of expatriates and local Chinese Inspectors for each discipline. ( Hull, Mechanical, electrical, piping)
u Coatings Inspectors are qualified to either FROSSIO or NACE & have attended PSPC courses or know of requirements.
u Provide experienced local and expatriate personnel for all design work, plan and drawing approval.
u The provision of qualified technicians for the supervision of repairs to mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic machinery and automation
u Our Inspectors have all previously worked in yards QC department and are trained to identify problems during project work and to act accordingly ensuring implementation, liaising between Owners and the Yards¡¯ Senior Representatives and Classification Societies.
u The provision of legal advice and backup in relation to any disputes or requirements.
u Assistance with the negotiations and settlement of the Final Account.
u New Supply and Spare Parts Department.
Our Sales Staff have excellent contacts with all major Chinese suppliers and those abroad for main and auxiliary machinery and spares, and in addition are able to provide a full service for consumable and victualing stores.
AMS is VAT registered, has an Import & Export license and adequate warehouse facilities.
The staff can handle all Clearing and Forwarding matters, complying with Local Authority Regulations

u Full accommodation outfitting to include supply and installation of all materials and equipments.

AMS Shanghai offers a range of finance services to its clients, which include the following:

u Bespoke financial management for owners unable to secure refund guarantees from yards
u Ad-hoc project based finance
u Refund guarantees from European banks/institutions where possible.
